FINISHES ENGINEERED TO LAST

Every anodizing job starts with the right process for the part and the right line for its size. NIA’s two lines handle everything from small precision components to extrusions up to 27.5 feet long, across our core processes: Type II, Type III hardcoat, 2-step electrolytic, and PTFE.

TWO LINES, ONE STANDARD

Our primary line anodizes parts up to 27.5 feet long. Our precision line handles machined components and small batches. Both run 24/7, and every run is tested under our ISO 9001-certified quality system.

MORE THAN A FINISH

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE FINISH

Anodizing places aluminum in an acid bath and runs an electric current through it, growing a hard, corrosion-resistant oxide layer from the surface of the metal. Paint and other coatings sit on top of aluminum, while an anodized finish becomes part of it.

WHAT ANODIZING DOES FOR ALUMINUM

An anodized layer improves aluminum’s corrosion resistance, durability, and wear resistance and gives it a consistent appearance, all while keeping the metal’s natural properties intact.

BUILT TO PERFORM. MADE TO BE SEEN.

Whether it’s an architectural facade or a high-performance industrial part, anodizing helps aluminum hold up in use and look its best doing it.

PTFE

LOW FRICTION, HIGH PERFORMANCE

PTFE is a dry-film lubricant applied over an anodized aluminum surface. It pairs the hardness of anodizing with a slick, non-stick finish that reduces friction, wear, and galling without oil or grease. PTFE is a good fit for sliding, rotating, and repeated-contact parts like pistons, valves, slides, and food and packaging equipment.

COLORS

CLEAR, BLACK, BRONZE, AND CUSTOM

NIA specializes in the finishes architects and manufacturers ask for most: clear, black, and bronze. Need something outside these three? We also offer custom color matching to meet specific project or brand requirements.
